A commemorative note from Malaysia issued in 2017 with one of its kind denomination of $60, with a total quantity issued of 60K pieces, which is considered a very huge issue & with its subsequent big free float in the open market.
The note featured herein not only carries the rather cute serial numbers of 0011199 but also, bears the autograph of the then Central Bank's Governor on the watermark area, with PMG's professional confirmation stated as "Courtesy Autograph."
Reliable numismatics grapevine has indicated that there are less than 5 pieces of such notes bearing the Autograph of the ex-Governor and that such a third party graded note with the Courtesy Autograph carries a very handsome premium in the range of 5 figures in the Malaysian numismatics world, but these could be just feel-good hearsay & "cafetaria numismatics talk".
However, if such a note were to be transacted at that "handsome" premium, say, via Heritage or Stack Bowers, then, of course, the so-called "numismatic talk" would no longer be mere "talk" but is now a newly set benchmark & a talk filled with very concrete numismatics substance.
